Great for Beginning Derby Skaters

I started out on these derby skates -- loved them in every way. If you're just starting out, these are perfect for the budget minded! Comfy, fast to break in, even better when you replace insoles with nicer insoles. Lasted me a good 8-10 months before the top lace hole ripped open on one skate, leaving the ankle support a bit loose. The tongue of the boot left some painful scabs/scars at the front of my ankle but no biggie; wear some light neoprene and/or wait til the break-in period is over. After you graduate to a higher quality skate, you can easily use these for outdoors skating. The Fugitive wheels included are bomb as well, used them as fresh meat, continued to use em when bouting with the travel team.
